The Manticore Exotic Catalyst
Once you acquire The Manticore you will get the Catalyst quest from Banshee in the Tower. In order to complete the quest to obtain the catalyst, you must complete a lengthy set of objectives in both PVE and PVP playlists, but it's well worth it once the catalyst is finished!

Catalyst Quest Objectives & Catalyst Perk
Step 1: Defeat 50 targets while airborne
Step 2: Earn 200 Calibration Data, and defeat targets. Higher Tier Nightfalls, Crucible and Gambit wins, and defeated Guardians provide additional progress.
Catalyst Perks
Final blows with this weapon while airborne grant damage resistance.

- You must ALREADY have The Manticore and the catalyst quest from Banshee
